Streaming boxes with the Integral 2
Apple TV 4K, NVIDIA Shield, Fire TV, Chromecast: streaming boxes negotiate their output format entirely from the EDID they see and protect everything with HDCP. That makes them the perfect match for a device whose whole job is controlling EDID and HDCP.
Why put an Integral 2 behind a streaming box?
- “This TV does not support HDCP 2.2”: streaming apps require HDCP for 4K playback. The HDCP Doctor connects the box to any HDCP1.x or HDCP2.x display, so 4K streams keep playing through older equipment.
- Stop the box from guessing wrong: a streaming box that sees a mixed chain (AVR + TV + matrix) often settles on the wrong format — no HDR, wrong refresh rate, stereo audio. Present it one clean EDID from the 100-table library, or an Automix of your real displays.

Setup steps
- Streaming box into an HDMI input; HDCP 1.x-only display or AVR on the TOP (Downscale) output.
- HDCP switch middle (HDCP Auto / GUI), Scale switch Auto Scaling.
- EDID switch on Custom Use / BT and pick the table that matches what you want the box to output — each input can hold its own EDID, so a Shield on input 0 and an Apple TV on input 1 can each see a different table.
- After changing tables, the Integral 2 automatically issues a Hot Plug so the box re-reads the EDID; most boxes re-detect within seconds.
