HDfury Integral 2 features explained

What the Integral 2 actually does for your setup: it fixes HDCP errors between any source and any display, feeds two screens at their best possible quality at the same time, extracts audio for older receivers, and gives you full control over EDID and HDR metadata. Setting names below are written exactly as they appear on the unit and in the GUI.

HDCP Doctor

The Integral 2 provides six HDCP 1.4 and 2.2 engines for decryption and encryption, offering a full HDCP workaround: HDCP 2.2 > HDCP 1.4 and HDCP 1.4 > HDCP 2.2, both directions, in the same unit. It connects any HDCP1.x or HDCP2.x source to any HDCP1.x or HDCP2.x sink. Each input decrypts first, whatever revision it is; each output then independently re-encrypts to 1.4 (both outputs) or 2.2 (top port only), or passes the signal unencrypted if it was not encrypted to begin with. Dual conversion can run on both channels at the same time.

HDCP behaviour is set with the physical HDCP slide switch (3 positions):

Scaling: upscale, downscale, passthrough

Each output can run its own scaling rule via the Scale slide switch (3 positions), or through custom configuration in the USB GUI:

In Auto Scaling, the TOP output (TX1) can use 10 quick presets, selected by holding the INFO button and clicking INPUT/INP a number of times. Preset 1, “AUTOSENSE ALL”, is the default and suits most setups; other presets target specific display classes such as 300MHz 4K60 4:2:0 TVs, deep-colour projectors, or 1080p60-only displays. The BOT output (TX0) is auto-sensed and converted as needed, with an option to disable upscaling if you prefer the display to do it.

Splitter, Matrix and automatic input switching

With two inputs and two outputs the Integral 2 runs in one of two routing modes. In Splitter mode one active input is sent to both outputs at once, each with its own scaling and HDCP handling. In Matrix mode both inputs are live at the same time and freely crossed over the two outputs — a console and a streaming box feeding a TV and a projector, for example — up to 4K60 4:4:4 on both channels. A long press (over 2 seconds) on the Input Switch / Matrix Mode button enters or exits Matrix mode; a short press switches the active input in Splitter mode and swaps the signals in Matrix mode. The OSD reports both active inputs in Matrix mode. Switching also works from IR, RS232, USB and the mobile app.

Automatic switching is configured in the CONFIG tab of the GUI (or via RS232/app): with AUTO SWITCH activated the unit automatically switches to the active signal if the selected signal is lost, and in FORCED input priority mode the Integral 2 switches to a new active input as soon as it is detected — a set-and-forget 2×1 switcher that never needs the remote.

Advanced EDID management

EDID mode is set with the physical EDID slide switch (3 positions):

From the USB GUI you can also sniff (read) the EDID from either connected sink, save any EDID to a file, load a file back in, and upload it as a custom bank — useful for round-tripping through external tools such as an EDID editor.

HDR and Infoframe metadata: capture, edit, inject, block

The Integral 2 captures, deciphers and displays incoming HDR metadata, AVI infoframe, Vendor Specific infoframe (VSI), SPD, Audio infoframe, HDMI Vendor Specific infoframe and the HDMI Forum VSIF, in human-readable form on both the Windows GUI and the on-screen display. It can also generate and inject custom HDR metadata and custom AVI/VSI strings, or disable HDR/AVI/VSI entirely — a mode originally added to let JVC projector owners apply their own gamma curve to HDR content. Custom strings persist across hotplugs and power cycles until reset.

Dolby Vision handling: the Integral 2 automatically sniffs and stores the Dolby Vision mandatory string from a sink connected to the BOT output, so equipment such as an AVR can sit between the source and the display while the correct DV signal still reaches the display.

HDMI/CEC commander

The bottom (BOT) output is the CEC/ARC master. To use ARC from a TV, connect the TV’s ARC-capable HDMI input to the Integral 2’s BOT output and set the Integral 2’s CEC device type to “Audio System w/ARC”. The default device type is “Video Processor” (ID#5), used when an AVR in the setup should own ARC/CEC. Live CEC commands can be sent from the USB GUI in hex format, and the Android/iOS app can build custom CEC command menus via an editable XML file.

Audio extraction

The Integral 2 extracts HDMI audio up to 5.1 and can pass through Dolby Atmos and DD+ while downscaling video for older AVRs. Output is a single 3.5mm combo jack that carries either analog stereo (via a standard 3.5mm cable) or digital 5.1 Dolby/DTS via mini-TOSLINK optical (via a 3.5mm mini-TOSLINK cable or adapter). Analog output includes volume, bass and treble control from the GUI. Lossless audio formats are only carried through the HDMI outputs; the S/PDIF output supports stereo and 5.1 only, and the analog output is stereo only.

On-screen display and signal information

The INFO button (short press) toggles the OSD on/off; a long press (over 2 seconds) cycles through OSD + Logo LED + custom text > Logo LED + OSD > OSD only > Logo LED only > none. From the GUI you can position and colour the OSD, choose which fields are shown (source name, video field, video infoframe, HDR RX/TX info, HDR infoframe, audio field), set a fade timer, and enable an OSD mask or OSD custom text with its own position.

More than a matrix: the extras that come with it

That breadth is why the packaging pitches it at integrators, content creators, calibrators, streamers, UHDTV retail, show sites, data centers, schools, conference rooms and home cinema alike.

Control options

Every function above is available through more than one control path: the physical push buttons and slide switches on the unit, IR remote (Pronto Hex codes are supplied with every firmware/GUI release, and Integral 2 codes are also registered with Logitech Harmony and iRule), the Windows USB GUI, RS232 for Mac/Windows/Linux, and the Android/iOS Total Control app over Bluetooth via the optional GoBlue dongle — the Bluetooth app works even with no video signal present. A public API/DLL package is also available for building custom Windows software around the Integral 2.
