The three EDID modes

The physical EDID slide switch has three positions. The middle position is required for remote control via USB, IR, RS232 or Bluetooth.

• Automix Mode: the Integral 2 builds an EDID from the mutual capabilities of both connected sinks using a selectable algorithm (Min Mixed Capabilities, Max Audio/Min Video, Top Output Priority, Bot Output Priority, or Max Audio/Max Video), with enforceable flags such as 2.0 Stereo, 5.1 Multi, 7.1 Full Sound, Native, BT.2020/xvYCC, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, 3D Remove and YCbCr Remove.
• Custom Use / BT (middle position): pick a fixed EDID from a library of 100 preloaded tables, or upload your own. By default this is a 4K60 4:4:4 BT2020 HDR 600MHz table with full audio. Each input can hold a different table.
• Fixed EDID with L/R Audio: a conservative 4K60 4:2:0 8-bit SDR stereo 300MHz table, useful as a known-good fallback.

Steps to fix a wrong resolution/HDR/audio report

1. Identify whether the problem is that the source is offering too little (its EDID read is too conservative) or the display is receiving too much (getting a signal it cannot show).
2. If you are in Automix mode and audio or video capability looks wrong, check the enforceable flags in the USB GUI — for example, ticking “Full Audio” forces Automix to always report full audio support even if one connected sink is stereo-only.
3. If you are in Custom mode, confirm the correct table is selected for the port in question — each input can carry its own individual EDID, so a table chosen for RX0 will not automatically apply to RX1.
4. To copy a specific display’s real capabilities instead of guessing, use “Read TV [TOP] EDID” or “Read TV [BOT] EDID” in the USB GUI to sniff the EDID directly from that sink, then upload it as the active EDID.
5. After any EDID change, the Integral 2 automatically resets HPD to present the newly selected EDID — give the source a few seconds to re-negotiate.
6. If nothing else works, switch to Fixed EDID with L/R Audio to confirm the rest of the signal chain is healthy, then return to Automix or Custom once confirmed.

Dolby Vision through equipment in between

If the Integral 2 is not directly connected to your Dolby Vision display and you have equipment (such as an AVR) in between, first connect the Integral 2’s bottom output directly to the TV and let it boot up so it can sniff the TV’s Dolby Vision mandatory string. Then disconnect and insert the in-between equipment — the Integral 2 will keep presenting the sniffed DV string to the source, allowing DV to pass through equipment that does not itself support Dolby Vision.
